I am a black man who watches Imus every morning because I receive straight talk.From the columnists, politicians and others who appear even to the skits and comments, its all straight talk. Its things we would say among friends and acquaintances, by the proverbial "water cooler" and such. For Al to speak of resignation is a farce. Speak to me Al when you file an accurate tax return and disclose the real source of your "donations". To the other black journalists take a chill pill, Imus should not have said what he said. He did cross the line but he has the right to say it...and accept the consequences. Did Al hear the comments of G E Patterson's widow who so elegantly and with a sincere tone of gratitude spoke of Imus' help in getting the street named after her husband in Memphis? Imus continues to do good work behind the hilarity and irreverence and in the end Imus' sum will be greater that of all his so called "offensive "parts.
